NR Hunt Ltd were fantastic on our difficult building project. The work required was extensive, as we needed a complete renovation on the existing house including a loft conversion. One of the most challenging aspects was an 18 metres glass link extension from the main house to a cottage, which also needed underpinning and complete restructuring. The outside then needed terracing with small stone/slate walls to level the areas and pull the different features together so that the overall effect was a seamless blend. All this was achieved through excellent attention to detail combined with faultless craftsmanship, not only in all the building works but on the internal carpentry and tiling finishes. We would highly recommend Adam and his team with enthusiasm and without reservation.

Adam was recommended as a high quality builder by many local contacts, so when an opportunity to purchase a plot of land with lapsed outline planning approval for one new build house presented he was an invaluable source of knowledge on the feasibility and value for money of the project. He recommended a firm of local architects which he and his father (a recently retired Master Builder) had used over the years which enabled me to meet a very talented young architect who negotiated the tortuous path to obtaining full planning permission which eventually resulted in a chalet bungalow which won an award for design and build quality. Throughout the project Adam demonstrated an understanding of what the architect and I sought to achieve contributing on numerous occasions to the ultimate design of the finished build. Adam project managed the whole build successfully sourcing materials during the extremely difficult Covid pandemic and reported progress and submitted detailed accounts of work completed at our monthly site meetings with the architect. His integrity is of the highest order. I think the architect’s assessment of Adam is illuminating in describing him as the most knowledgeable builder he had worked with in fifteen years in the profession with the additional quality of having the capability of performing the varied construction skills to an exceptional quality himself. This resulted in subcontractors being held to a very high standard. I have no hesitation in highly recommending him.
